Health Benefits Walking Provides Your Pet!

On a recent walk with Austina, Sean and their dogs through the park we made one shocking (ok not that shocking) discovery.  It's not what you would expect at all, then again, well you'll see.  Follow along for the Health Benefits Walking Your Pet Provides!  Their three dogs, Roxy, Karma & Tate were all headed for a great walk through a park in middle Tennessee.  Roxy (white and brown pit bull) is Sean's lady while Karma (gray pit bull) is Austina's baby girl.  Roxy not one to be bashful stopped and asked her dad for directions.  After all, one does want to know the planned route.
Much to my surprise the third dog, a Toy Poodle named Tate came along for the walk also.  I knew we would be walking quite a distance on this trip, 2.5 miles to be exact and I wondered how Little Man Tate would last.  Much to everyone's surprise he did very well and managed to make it all but the last .04 of the last mile.  He was such a trooper and he loves his sissy Karma, they are best buddies.
After some rest and water we decided to commemorate the walk with some photos of this fit family.  Both pitties were of course tired and happy to be finished with their long walk and showed their appreciation by flopping down every 10 inches.  Of course leave it to Tate to be the bossy one and jump on Austina to be picked up (which of course he was).
There are many benefits to exercising with your pet.  Regular exercise helps with weight control, aids the digestive system to function regularly, reduces hyperactivity and destructive behavior, reduced attention-seeking behavior, helps promote your bond, helps you build trust with one another, regular exercise is also good for your health too, everyone wins!  It's very important to be active with your dogs and it can enrich your relationship with them to go along on such fun activities.  Dogs love to move and socialize with their people so bring your best friend along on a walk!
"IZ DAT U BACK DERE MR. BRIAN?"
"HEY!  WHERE YOU GOING?  DA FOTO SHOOT IZ OVER HERE!"
Roxy says "A tired dog is a happy dog.  And boy am I tired."
