After last week's motion to re-consider ordinance BL2015-1008 (aka Outdoor Pet Tethering) at the Nashville Metro Council Meeting, I am happy to report the ordinance was passed at this week's meeting by a machine vote of 30 for, 2 against.
Councilwoman Karen Bennett (pictured) celebrates with members of Dogs Deserve Better and Habitat For Paws before speaking to local media at Nashville Metro Historic Courthouse. Bennett sponsored the ordinance before the Metro Council and has worked with local rescue organizations like Nashville Metro Animal Care and Control for over 2 years. My sincerest congratulations to Councilwoman Bennett and all the rescue organizations involved for a job well done! Now, the real work begins!
